Isn't April just lovely? The days are finally getting longer and the weather is often better than it is in July and August. It's the perfect time to use your precious work holidays for an off-peak week in an all inclusive, or if you're a little pressed for cash (like me), a weekend away at the seaside.
The problem with April is that sun can quickly turn to showers, so packing clothing for all weathers takes up critical makeup bag space. Luckily, these miniature beauty products are perfect to stash in your suitcase without compromising on quality.
I've built up a pretty decent collection of product minis and deluxe samples via previous orders I have placed with Too Faced, however more recently was sent the amazing First-Class Faves exclusive travel set from World Duty Free containing six deluxe miniatures of classic Benefit products. I've picked out my favourites to include in this post along with others from my existing stash.
Guerlain L'Or Makeup Base
Too posh to be just a primer, I received this sample of the hydrating Guerlain gel in my goodie bag from the 'Mon Guerlain' perfume launch event I attended last month. Containing flecks of real 24-carat gold, I feel like Beyoncé when I use this primer.
Benefit The POREfessional Face Primer*
If you prefer a balm to a gel primer-wise, Benefit's POREfessional is a cult classic in the beauty world. It smells like oranges and is a dream at minimising pores and creating an airbrushed look.Too Faced Hangover Primer
Can you tell I enjoy hoarding primer samples? They're so handy to have around, and this Too Faced primer is my favourite of the three and I also have the full sized version. Containing coconut water, it's incredibly hydrating and truly makes my skin glow. I'm afraid this can't be purchased in a sample size, but is almost always available as a freebie with online Too Faced orders.BeBella Facial Cleanser
I'm currently trialling this brand of skincare products to do a full review on, and they kindly sent me both full sized and sample size products to have a play with. This cleanser is really nice and gentle, so I'll definitely be popping the mini version in my holiday bag.Benefit Chachatint*
Blush and lip tint all in one? Yes please! Chachatint is the ultimate space-saving beauty product with its multiple uses, and I love how the peachy mango-tinted stain suits my paler complexion and gives me a beautiful, beachy look.
Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara
This mascara is truly my life, and I own miniature versions in both purple and black. I'm planning to purchase a full sized version in my next Too Faced haul, but for now the sample size is perfect for toting around in my makeup bag.
Benefit Total Moisture Facial Cream*
I use the full sized version of this moisturiser every day, so god forbid it become broken or lost whilst away! Luckily the First-Class faves set came with a mini Total Moisture, containing the perfect amount for a weekend break.
Too Faced 'Metallic Peony' Melted Metal Lipstick
This sparkly liquified lipstick is such a pretty pink colour for Spring which makes it ideal for an April weekend away. The perfect size to slip in my handbag, I received this lipstick as a freebie with my last online Too Faced order.
Benefit Hoola Bronzer
I'm too pale to be a fan of Hoola (it's orange on me) but I know it's a makeup staple for a lot of beauty enthusiasts. I thought it was worth mentioning that I picked up this mini version for £9.95 in Boots by the tills, and I also got a Dandelion blush of the same size in my First-Class faves set.
As mentioned above, the majority of the Benefit miniatures can actually be purchased online or in store from Boots, ranging from £5 to £10. They currently have a 3 for £25 offer online on the premium products, and 4 for £15 on the rest, so be quick!
What would be your travel beauty essentials?
Do you own the full versions of any of these?
Products marked with an asterisk (*) are part of the First-Class Faves set I was gifted by the lovely Ema of World Duty Free Beauty. This does not affect my opinion on the products and all views are strictly my own.
Ah i totally get what you mean, I love April too! These look like lovely products, I need to rekindle my love with Benefit Cosmetics!

I love April for the exact same reasons, I absolutely love benefit hoola however it's the only product i've tried from this brand!xx
ReplyDeleteReading this makes me feel glad that I don't really use a lot of beauty products! Although I only opt to take miniatures if I'm using hand luggage only on a plane! I struggle through with carrying it myself if I'm going somewhere in the UK!
