Spring pastels are my absolute favourite shades, so I couldn't resist picking up these three beautiful Essie polishes when I spotted them in TK Maxx last week. After a long dreary Winter, I'm super excited to start seeing the first glimpses of Spring with daffodils and lighter evenings, and these polishes are absolutely perfect to welcome in the coming season whilst adding a touch of colour to any look.
Despite being described as blogger favourites as far as nail polishes are concerned, these are actually the first Essie polishes I have ever bought. I've always been a nail biter, and so only recently have I started growing my nails long enough to paint them.
I am absolutely loving the shape and design of the Essie bottles, despite the soft engraved contours of the logo being an absolute bugger to photograph! I'm afraid my photo for this post really isn't great, as I found it so difficult to really capture the true colour of the polishes!
First up out of my purchases is Marshmallow, a gorgeously soft off-white. I've always loved photos on Instagram and Pinterest of beautiful white nails, however I've always thought them a little too 'out-there' for me to try myself. Marshmallow has warmer undertones than a usual stark white, and so makes a lovely soft Spring shade. It takes 2 - 3 coats to really see the beautiful colour of this polish, and Essie themselves describe it as a 'cloudy sheer white, perfect for a french manicure.'
The second shade is my favourite of the three. Tying The Knotie is from the 2015 Essie bridal collection and is a beautiful, true blush pink - my favourite colour in the world. It's such a shame that this colour is so sheer, as it takes a good 3 - 4 coats to see true colour payoff.
The last polish is a colour I never thought I would love, but I really, really do. In The Cab-ana is described as a 'self-assured aqua azure' and that couldn't be more true. It's a really confident colour and is so beautifully unique, needing 2 coats absolute maximum as the opacity is fantastic. It's so sassy, yet girly and I absolutely adore it.
What do you think to these beautiful nail polishes?
They're all £3.99 each from TK Maxx!
Cab-Anna is such a pretty shade! I haven't got any polishes that colour, but it's gorgeous! X
