LUSH Gossip: New Kitchen Shower Gels

I CAN'T COPE WITH THIS. When I first saw the news break on Instagram, I stopped talking mid-sentence, and stared at my screen, wide-eyed. My boyfriend thought I'd seen some terrible news, especially when I broke the silence by screaming as loud as I could.

Yep, you read the title right. We will be getting seven new shower gels fresh from the LUSH Kitchen on Friday 22nd June. Long live the LUSH Kitchen!

@LushKitchen broke the news Monday lunch time by posting on their Instagram story that they had direct messaged a few select accounts, but nobody was to be 'gel' if they didn't get a message (clearly an intended mis-spelling!) The accounts were encouraged to share the messages they had received on Instagram, and it lead to much speculation!

Now they've finally been revealed, let's break down the products and their descriptions...

Avocado Wash Shower Gel

Holy guacamole! Avocados are well known for their benefits on the skin and this shower gel filled with conditioning and softening fresh organic avocado and avocado oil is the best of the punnet.

Get that feel-good Friday feeling all week long with uplifting bergamot and refreshing litsea cubeba oil as olibanum comforts and reassures you that the weekend is only a few washes away.

Avocados may have a short shelf life but you don't have to worry about that with these self-preserving lathers, the juicy, sweet and familiar scent lingering long after you leave the bathroom.

American Cream Shower Gel

Cleansing fresh strawberries and uplifting fresh orange juice go together like rama lama lama ka dinga da dinga dong, smell fresh forever as shoo-bop sha wadda wadda yippity boom de boom.

If you're into cat-eye glasses, rock 'n' roll and milkshakes with whipped cream and lashings of strawberry sauce, this shower gel will be sure to tickle your fancy. You won't be stranded at the drive-in after washing with sweet vanilla absolute and a second helping of tempting, warming benzoin will ensure you're not branded a fool.

Moreish lathers topped off with softening carrageenan extract and herbal clary sage means you'll be left hopelessly devoted to this shower gel. This is the one that you want.

Grass Shower Gel

For lovers of all things green and those who crave balmy summer days walking through a morning wood. Fresh wheatgrass juice gently cleanses and refreshes skin while joy-inducing neroli oil brings the sunshine to your day.

Stress-relieving sandalwood and bergamot oils dance on an uplifting breeze as verdant lathers emanate a wonderfully green, warming scent evoking memories of sunny days rolling in the hay and daisy chains.

Sultana Shower Gel

There is no magic solution to life's problems, but a shower gel to help calm and soothe worries comes pretty close. Like a warm hug from a loved one at the end of the day, let the spicy, comforting scent of olibanum put the world to rights as reassuring bergamot oil wraps around you, the scent staying with you long after you leave the bathroom.

Carrageenan extract lends itself to these thick, creamy lathers, softening the skin while a fruity topping of apricot and currant infusion adds to the rich lingering fragrance.

Flying Fox Shower Gel

Get your paws on this. Bring out your inner vixen with sexy ylang ylang while cypress and palmarosa clear your thoughts ensuring you're only thinking about one thing.

Exotic jasmine absolute gets you lathered up in sultry suds, restoring you to your foxy self. Hungarian, Greek, and English honey glide across the skin, moisturising, softening and leaving skin carressably soft.

So slip into something a little more comfortable and dim the lights, there'll only be one thing on your mind after these languid lathers.

Calacas Shower Gel

Who says you need to be alive to be the life and soul of the party? A hallowed shower with reviving lime and uplifting neroli lathers will rouse your senses back into the mortal realm.

Just one encounter of the gel kind will leave your spine tingling (that'll be the cooling aloe vera) and skin smelling like sweet jelly beans.

Karma Shower Gel

If a cosmic order of calm is on the cards, it's time to lather up for some good karma. Heady patchouli and balancing elemi oils keep your head out of the clouds as woody pine oil drifts on the breeze, helping you focus on what matters.

Chill out with soothing chamomile and lavendin oils as they create an aura of calm that stays with you beyond just your shower. With uplifting and refreshing lemongrass and orange oils, clear your mind of the haze of the day.

What goes around, comes around so spread the positive vibes wherever you go!

The gels are being released for sale on Friday the 22nd, however no exact time has been revealed, so keep a look out in the morning!

They're pretty certain that that they've made enough bottles based on the number of requests they received, and as usual, once they're gone, they're gone. We have been reassured however that if they sell out ridiculously fast, they'll try their hardest to make more.

They're currently only in the UK Exclusives section, however other countries have shown a huge interest, and they will be introduced internationally soon.

Everyone has been recommended to add the products they are after to their wishlist in order to confirm the quantities, so make sure you do so before Friday morning! I'm planning to splurge on 5 American Cream, 3 Avocado Wash, 2 Sultana and 1 Flying Fox for my haul!

The gels have been revealed!!! I have now updated all of this post to reflect the ones being released, and all of the other information we have.

It has been confirmed in an image posted by Lushalot (I'm not certain if the original image is hers) that one of the new gels is indeed Avocado Wash shower gel!

Along with @GathererKane receiving Calacas, these two are fully confirmed, along with the news that American Cream will be making an appearance at 9am tomorrow in the big reveal!

We now have the first images of the new shower gels, posted by the @LushKitchen Instagram account!

The pale green and the yellow simply have to be Avoshower and Calacas!

And how did I manage too miss this, a whole 3 days ago! The one on the left simply HAS to be The Comforter. I'm sure I'd recognise that colour anywhere!

Lastly, has April from Lushalot accidentally spilled the beans with this Avocado Wash image? All will be revealed, as my sources tell me that 9am tomorrow morning will be the big reveal!
