Review: Too Faced Born This Way Concealer in 'Very Fair'

Yay! It's time for the third review from my £100 Too Faced Haul, and this time you've voted for the Born This Way concealer to be reviewed and swatched in full.

This concealer is a relatively new product which was only released in June this year and is something I was dying to order as soon as I could.

The Naturally Radiant Concealer is made with coconut water and hyaluronic acid to moisturize without being oily, and Alpine Rose to to brighten and promote elasticity (YAAAAASSS, elastic.)

As always, the packaging is beautiful. It's classic Too Faced with its light pink cardboard adorned with black and gold accents and a colour swatch on the lid. The concealer itself is in a heavy glass tube with an embossed gold lid, which I totally love as it both looks and feels expensive (which is good, because it is!)

I bought the lightest shade in the collection which is 'Very Fair', suited for very pale complexions. This concealer is supposed to have pink undertones, however I find them to be more neutral, which suits me perfectly. It's seriously the most perfect colour for me I have ever found and makes me very excited to get my hands on the Born This Way foundation in either Snow or Pearl, hopefully I'll soon finally find my perfect foundation shade (after trying for almost seven years...)

I love how light and hydrating this concealer is. On skin it feels like you genuinely have no makeup on, whilst giving some seriously amazing coverage without creasing. I've actually stopped wearing any foundation most of the time now and this concealer makes my skin look so amazing just by itself.

I apply Born This Way Concealer by first swiping it under my eyes, in a line down my nose, then across both my chin and my fore head. Just one dip of the wand covers all these areas with ease. I then use my Spectrum flat top buffer brush to gently dab and blend the concealer into my skin, which makes it look lovely and soft.

The finish of the concealer is a gorgeous, semi-dewy looks, which I feel is due to the Coconut Water. It makes me look really awake when I use it under my eyes, even if I'm absolutely shattered. It also makes a really good highlighter is i also use it over foundation, giving a gorgeous glow.

I would honestly recommend this concealer to anyone, there's such a good range of shades and I think the formula would suit most skin types.

Will you be trying this concealer?

  2. I bought the Too Faced Born This Way Foundation in 'Porcelain' and I love the formula but no way is the shade Porcelain! It's so so dark! Hoping this concealer has lighter shades.
