Review: Too Faced Peanut Butter & Jelly Palette

Too Faced Peanut Butter & Jelly Palette Review
Guys, I did it. I managed to get my hands on the limited edition Too Faced Peanut Butter & Jelly eyeshadow palette. If you've kept up with my Twitter, you'll know I have been totally obsessed with wanting this product since sneak-peeks of it were released waaaayyyy back in October. And now I have it. And it was totally worth every. last. penny. I could hardly contain myself when I got home from college and saw the Too Faced box waiting for me!

WARNING: This palette is breath-takingly gorgeous, but also limited edition and currently sold out. So please try and control your jealousy throughout this review *wink*.

Too Faced Peanut Butter & Jelly Palette Review
If you're looking for a review that will try and convince you to not buy this palette, this certainly isn't it. Basically, I am a peanut butter addict. I can't get enough of the stuff, it's the only thing I will have spread on toast, so this palette is literally my dream come true. It is a mixture of four matte and five shimmer shades, with my preference definitely being for the shimmers (what can I say, I'm a sparkly little thing.)

The shades all have the most delicious names, despite not being as cheeky as Too Faced products usually are. The top row of shades consists of Spread The Love, a slightly shimmery nude peach, a matte Peanut Butter and a shimmery Peanut Butter Cup, which is my favourite crease shade to use.

The second row contains my all-time favourite shade, Bananas. I don't think I could be more in love with this shimmery, golden shade if I tried. It's similar to Honey Pot from the Too Faced Natural Eyes palette, but lighter and less stark. It's taken first place over Satin Sheets as being my favourite ever eyeshadow and I honestly use it every day.

Too Faced Peanut Butter & Jelly Palette ReviewNext to Bananas is Peanut Brittle, which I can honestly say I don't like in the slightest. The bronze shimmer shade is just too orange for me, and would look far better on someone with darker skin than mine. However, Jammin' finishes this row off on a high point by being a gorgeous, deep purple shade (which shows up on camera as a purple-y brown.)

The last row contains the pale pink Extra Creamy, the gorgeously vibrant purple Jelly, but once again another orange shade, Nuts About U, which I really just don't like at all.

In hindsight, this Peanut Butter & Jelly probably looks far better on darker or olive skin, but it's still my absolute favourite eye shadow palette to date (and that's before I've even mentioned the scent.)

My god. This palette smells AMAZING. I simply can't describe just how delicious it is, but I can confirm it smells exactly like a tub of Reese's peanut butter. Peanut butter scented with a hint of chocolatey sweetness. At first it's a little weird thinking "I can smell my own eyelids", but believe me, it's awesome.

Too Faced Peanut Butter & Jelly Palette Review
The one thing I will say about the Too Faced Peanut Butter & Jelly palette palette is that the shades aren't all that pigmented, however I have currently been applied them without a primer. The only shades with noticable fallout are Peanut Butter and Extra Creamy, due to being lighter, more powdery shades.

Overall, I am obsessed with this peanut butter palette. It's one of those things that you don't know why you need it, but you want it, even if it's just for the novelty. I bought my palette when Too Faced offered a free international shipping promotion, meaning my palette and tax all came to just £33. I totally think this was 100% worth it, which is coming from someone who refuses to pay 5p for a bag at the supermarket.

Do you own this palette?
Or is it now on your love-list?
