Lime Crime Valentine's Haul

Hello my lovelies! As you may already know, I am a huge fan of Lime Crime despite their shady past, so when they released a new set for Valentine's day, I simply couldn't help myself (and neither could my sister)

Left to right: True Love, Saint, Cupid, Fetish

Along with three new shades in the True Love set, Lime Crime also released a mauve shade, Polly, and a plum called Fetish. After much debate over which shades I preferred, I decided I simply could not resist the set itself. After even more debate, my little sister Ella chose to order Fetish.

The True Love set is a 'limited edition trio inspired by the luscious shades of rose petals.' It contains three shades; Cupid, True Love and Saint.

Without question, my absolute favourite shade is Cupid, which Lime Crime describe as a soft petal pink. This colour is only maybe two shades different to my natural lip colour and is a truly beautiful pinky nude, I genuinely can't believe how delicious it is.

Drool-worthy
True Love is a vibrant pinky red, almost fuchsia, and is similar to the Urban Decay lipgloss I tested last week in colour, except slightly more red. Saint is a deep cranberry red, however appears on my lips as more brown than red, very similar to my first Velvetine, Riot, reviewed here.

Fetish is a fabulous colour and suits my sister down to a T, especially as she is going through a little bit of a goth phase. It's a lovely deep plum, a little more vivid purple than it appears on the website. Here she is modelling the shade for me, isn't she cute? I wish I had a photo of myself that looked this good, but alas, I had no makeup on when I was swatching them.

All the Velvetines have the scent of vanilla which is signature of Lime Crime. Their staying power is amazing, lasting all day even through meals. Even after the top layer of colour has worn off, they leave behind a stain which keeps the lips looking lovely for hours.

After one layer, you can honestly not feel that you're wearing any lipstick, that's just how light and smooth they are. Although, two layers (I put on Cupid, followed by True Love) you can feel a slight dryness, but nothing uncomfortable.

I am absolutely thrilled with these Velvetines, totally worth the £30 price tag for the set. My sister has yet to pay me back for her purchase, but I'm sure this post will kick her bum into gear!

What do you think to these gorgeous colours?
Do you own any Velvetines?
