Multi-tasking, as per usual
Hello lovelies. One thing I have noticed as of recently is that so many bloggers have the most gorgeous, organised blogging spaces. White IKEA desks with tastefully arranged planners, notebooks, coffee cups and iMacs. Well I don't. I don't even have a desk and most of the time I am blogging from the living room sofa, college, or even my bed.

Despite this, I have recently started taking some really lovely photos that I am becoming quite proud of. SO many people have asked what camera I use or how I edit my blog photos, with the answer being that I use my iPhone 5S or a digital Canon PowerShot A810 (which is almost four years old) so really, nothing special!

I have decided to show you a little behind-the-scenes from yesterday's blog post on Ocean Salt, this post may be quite photo heavy so bear that in mind.

First things first, I was actually taking photos for the post at the same time as revising for my Psychology mock exam later that day, so my 'blogging space' is even more hectic than usual with random notes scattered everywhere. I can almost feel the neat-freaks among you cringing already. Notice how my phone is haphazardly lobbed to the side of my bed - this is basically how I lose it ten times a day.

As usual, my bed hasn't been made and I'm sprawled on top on it, lying next to the radiator by the window for maximum warmth and the best blog photo lighting. You can see two articles from magazines which I frequently use as backdrops for my photos, they are both from the February issue of Cosmopolitan and definitely come in handy, so they're usually lying around on my floor.

In the next picture you can see my photo set-up; a white floating shelf with a LUSH magazine acting as a backdrop, with the product placed in the middle. The one thing that really annoys me is that my bed sheets are currently red. This is disastrous for taking photos as it often interferes with the warmth of the photo, but my lovely shell-pink sheet is in the wash.

Usually at this point I am completing a balancing act of holding the shelf up to the window with one hand, whilst trying to take photos with the other. After some major fiddling, rearranging and catching rolling products as they fall from the shelf, I manage to take photos like this, which makes all the hassle worthwhile. Don't ask me how this happens, it is some serious wizardry which I cannot comprehend.

Wizardry must be at work here.

There are currently two things that get me through the mess that is revising/blogging multi-tasking. The first is Melanie Martinez, whose album is played on a constant repeat in order to break my revision up into hour long slots, and the second is fudge. I truly love fudge. The more of it the better. Unfortunately, I had almost finished my fudge reserves the day before and was left with only four pieces. Nightmare. I must remind myself to buy some more as it is currently only £1 a bag in ASDA.

But honestly Melanie is my saviour. I am so obsessed with her songs and 'Cry Baby' album is the perfect, upbeat motivator for starting revision. By the time I get to 'Pity Party' I know I'm half way through and can have a little break to sing along to my favourite song. When I hear the opening chords of 'Cake' I know I better hurry up as I only have three minutes to finish off my work.

By this point I had taken all my photos and come to the conclusion that without any more fudge, I was going to fail my exam. So I started taking selfies before migrating downstairs to take up residence on the sofa, accompanied by my laptop and my mum's most recent purchase - a fabulous fluffy throw which makes a great blog photo background!

Isn't it just such a nice background? I may have to steal it.

I stayed here, scheduling tweets using Buffer (shown on my phone) and writing the post itself until I realised it was 12:45. I then spent the next 15 minutes hyperventilating over the fact that my exam was at 1:30 and I was totally going to fail before almost running to college at 1:10.

The exam was great, by the way. In a sick way I actually quite enjoyed it.

But that's beside the point. I hope you enjoyed this little behind the scenes look at my blogging life! Hopefully it's shown you that you don't have to have an expensive camera or pristine blogging space in order to take great photos or write intriguing content.

What's your blogging space like?
Is it as hectic as mine?
